The Girl Next Door

The Girl Next Door (67,375 words) is the story of a young woman growing up to become a medical doctor and returning to her home town to find her first love married with far too many kids. She sets up her medical practice and spends the rest of her short life serving others. While she knew love she shunned getting involved deeply with anybody. Rebecca Jane was dying from a rare form of leukemia. On her tombstone the man that did love her had these words written as her epitaph: No greater love has one for another than to give one's all for them. Rebecca Jane Morris M.D. gave this community her all.
