A woman's love of impressionist art draws her into a ghostly mystery along the North Yorkshire coastline. Staying alone in a sprawling, long-abandoned estate in Yorkshire would be madness to some. On the other hand, art enthusiast Lissy de Luca is looking forward to the isolationand to beginning her research into the Staithes Group. It was here, more than a century ago, that the roiling seas and towering cliffs inspired the artistic passions of the famed commune. For Lissy, one of the most inspiring sights is the imposing Sea Scarr Hall itselfbut the longer she stays, the stranger things get.
