The Ghost in the Noonday Sun

Pirates, and shipwrecks, and ghosts...oh no!

Oliver Finch can't wait to go out to sea. He's turning twelve at midnight tonight and is looking forward to a whole lifetime of adventure on the high seas.

Then he meets the villainous Captain Scratch, who believes that people born at midnight can spot ghosts. Scratch and his dastardly crew need someone like that, so, without so much as a yo-ho-ho, they kidnap young Oliver and spirit him away on their pirate vessel in search of treasure.

Now Oliver is at sea, in more ways than one! Is there any way for him to outsmart the wicked captain before he becomes fish bait?
