The Gardener's Exile

In some eastern traditions, Kali - in this case a demon, not the goddess Kali - is responsible for the age of vice and suffering that beset the world some millennia ago, and through which we still struggle today. Hence, the "age of darkness," or the Kali Yuga. The chief gardener from the golden times recounts the ways of old, when he was unconfined by a sheath of skin, before the veils fell and brought separation and darkness into the world.
