When Rosemary Sapsed, wife of Britain's Minister of Defence, is murdered just before a NATO meeting, strenuous efforts are made tohush up the scandal. But scandal and Rosemary had fed off each other throughout her life, and when her bank box was opened scandal continues. Her fortune has been left not to her husband, but to a local farmer, and there are a number of envelopes containing thousands of pounds in cash.
