The Friendship

In Dragon's Reach: The Friendship (Dragon's Reach BOOK ONE), a young widow, Serina, moves to the deep woods a year after her husband's death. She and her twelve-year-old son, Johnny, reclaim the cottage of her husband's youth, unaware that the cottage is in the territory of the local werewolf pack.

Serina is befriended by the local independent witch, Thessa, and Johnny becomes best-friends with Ren, the submissive son of the werewolf leader. All of which leaves them in the middle of local pack politics. To further complicate their social position, Kemick, the werewolf leader competes for her affection against Mathon, the High Lord of the elves--one with gentleness, one with arrogance, and all of their fates are tangled by the multi-threaded Friendship Oaths sworn to her dead husband during his childhood.
