The Sixties were getting into full swing when Anna successfully bridged forty—only to have her organised existence shattered by a short paragraph in a London newspaper…As a result she left Heathrow by the next flight to Bergen, soon to be in a crowd of spectators gathered around a large lake to watch the raising of a wartime aircraft from its depths. Its pilot, who had escaped with minor injury, had torn through her life with love and passion and destruction, marking her still. At long last Anna had to face all her terrible doubts about an incident that had happened during her days as a British secret agent when this beautiful and spectacular land had been Nazi-occupied.
