About This Book

The Adventures of Junior and Spike the Wonder Dog. Book Nineteen: Flying, a children's book written and illustrated by Moshe. The first two pictures are of Junior and Spike are dressed as pilots. The story begins with Junior's and Dad's weekly routine. That weekend they go to a private airstrip, where Billy Bob is waiting with a plane for the family to use. Dad flies the plane hundreds of miles into the mountains, where they see an eagle flying. Dad lands the plane near Billy Bob's mountain cabin. Junior goes fishing in a stream for lunch, while Dad starts a fire in the cabin’s fireplace. Junior catches some trout, which the family eats for lunch. After lunch they walk to a lake created by an underground spring. Junior catches more trout, before the family walks back towards the cabin. They see a raven in a tree, a mountain lion trying to catch a raccoon and a type of weasel called a marten, before reaching the cabin. That night Dad tells Junior about being a bush pilot in Alaska when he was younger. Dad and his old dog, Buzz would deliver cargo across the state. The next morning, they eat trout and eggs for breakfast, before hiking back to the lake. Junior and Dad go fishing while Spike chases butterflies, grasshoppers and dragonflies. That afternoon the family flies home.
