Station Post One, the lone human outpost in the Unified Republic, caught between the advancing Darian Empire and the increasingly hostile Hyron Empire, is being torn apart by its own internal problems. As relations with other civilizations in the Republic grow closer, a militant force arises among the civilian population: Human Power.As Butch McCrae is determined to marry his alien love Ophelia, while the Vron ambassador Cranius becomes the Chief of Staff to President Damon Kramer, the Human Power activists, spurred on by news commentator Burt Kaisman, grow more and more violent—while Commander Tobey Dingell, driven to madness by the strain, sinks deeper and deeper into insanity that threatens to destroy the station!
