About This Book

This is the story of an assassin and a news reporter whose lives intertwine. Here be dragons, but only imaginary ones. And a 6th century Japanese goddess. Sarah Benton, maverick crime writer for L.A. Tempo, investigates a series of possible murders of prominent people whose bodies have never been found. Leef Leiden, a scholar and translator of Asian mythology, is also a professional killer who accepts assignments, but only with proof the intended target is a sociopath. Sarah and Leef cross paths, and they become involved. Although she is investigating the deaths he has caused, Sarah knows nothing about Leef’s hidden profession. Leef has no idea what she is investigating, and he is intrigued by her passion and intensity. On the verge of discovering the truth, Sarah herself becomes the target of a rival hit man hired by an LA gang leader she has exposed. Leef learns from his broker about the hit and who has accepted the job. He cannot allow this to happen. As the story unfolds, the consequence of their affair leads them to the brink of discovery and personal danger.
