Angelo and his brother Marco (Marco Talmai â€" Saving Heaven) were warriors in the first crusade, fighting for the Pope and for God. After seeing his brother die at the battle of Jerusalem, Angelo realizes the Pope’s holy quest was not for the Glory of God, but for man’s unending thirst for wealth and power. Abandoning the battle field, Angelo steals a horse and heads back to Europe where he is marked a deserter.

In the small hamlet of Hautefort, France, Angelo will face his ultimate fear: the bloody claws of the werewolf.

This novel is an attempt to finally answer two age old questions: Who was the first werewolf? How was it created?

It is also a story of repentance and how far a man will go to avenge the death of his one true love.
