Opening night is like a movie premiere: the entire town rolls up to see the show, and the show itself is always fabulous. But only the talented make the cut--the prodigies, the singers, the future stars.

The Drama Club of Ridgeport High is a lot of things to a lot of people. For students in the know, it's the club to be in. a chance to shine, an entre into the world of the stage, in high school, and possibly beyond. But for Casey Chang, it's a chance for a fresh start, away from the bad memories in her old town. Brianna Glaser--the Type-A copresident of the Drama Club and all-around whirlwind--thinks that Casey would make a perfect stage manager. It's a huge job, and Casey isn't sure she can cut it. But soon Casey finds herself sucked into the excitement and drama that drives the DC. And of course, the sheer hotness of the leading man doesn't hurt, either....
