The Fall Guy

On the night when a disturbance was reported from Fritz Haldman's store, Detective Sergeant Al Baker was sent to investigate. He found Haldman unconscious, and when he stooped to have a closer look the world exploded around him. When Baker came to, there were a lot of people in the store, including Lieutenant Phil Dorcas. Fritz Haldman was pointing at Baker, accusing him of demanding money and beating him up. Baker's attempts at denying the charge were met with cold disbelief. That was five years ago, and now Al Baker was a free man again...
