The Ever Spinning Mind

New York socialite Serena reads in "The Tanganyika Standard" that Rustum, the love of her life from college days in Boston, had died accidentally, age 27. Serena travels to Dar es Salaam with John, a journalist and her "nephew Dean," to find that Rustum had left a large envelope addressed to her at his sisal plantation. She reads the contents of the envelope with mixed emotions, returns to Dar es Salaam. Serena visits Rustum's Ocean Side home, The Palms; as she looks at memorabilia of their life together, she is dragged back in time. What if she had flown to Rustum when learning of his wife's death? Thus begins the journey that changes her perception of life.
