About This Book

Beautiful Rebel...

When her father invites her to join him on a trip to Merle's inlet, South Carolina, for a visit with the two elderly aunts who raised him, Eileen Anderson is an enthusiastic -- until she remembers that Dick Cranston, the good-looking Southern boy she met in New York that winter and enjoyed dating so much, lives there too. But the mention of Dick's name brings a chilly reaction from the aunt's. It's obvious that while he isn't exactly persona non grata in their home, he isn't welcomed with open arms either. It is also obvious to Eileen that the aunt's would much rather see her going out with another young neighbor, Fraser Ravenel . Serious-minded freezer is attractive, but Eileen resents being told whom she should date. Out of defiance, she goes on seeing Dick -- until a dramatic development teaches her that a rebellious heart is seldom wise.

Focus on Jealousy…

Dick turned the glasses on the crowd, trying to locate his father. He finally focused on one spot and whistled softly. "Boy, where'd he get such a doll?"
"Who?" Eileen asked, amused. "Your dad?"
"No. Frazier Ravenel."

Eileen was amazed at the shock the answer gave her. "Frazier? Let me see…"

She turned the glasses until she located Frazier standing beside a stunning girl who clung to his arm… They looked as if they were having a thoroughly good time together.

Eileen's hands weren't quite steady as she lowered the glasses…
