About This Book

Leigh Easterman hires Dirk Wagner, owner of "Exploration International" to head an expedition into the Amazon jungle. There Leigh hopes to find her adventuresome father, who has been missing for a year and is supposedly searching for the infamous Lost Valley of Emeralds. Dirk has made certain Leigh understands that even though the Amazon can be incredibly beautiful, it can also be deceptively dangerous. What neither of them realizes is that it can also be downright evil.

Thus begins the adventure of a lifetime as Leigh searches for her father and instead finds unimaginable terror. She also finds love, even though she knows that Nicholas Cooke, the ruggedly handsome jungle-guide, isn't the kind of man to build her dreams on. Yet she is powerless to let go of Nick, or to put an end to the expedition, which takes them deeper and deeper into the primitive forest. There she encounters indescribable splendor and spine-tingling suspense in a land that time forgot.
