After a close friend dies on the job, former smoke jumper Steve Kimball returns to work to help out his buddies. With a wildfire threatening a small California town, the last thing he needs is to run into former love Laine Sheehan. He thought they were over, but the sparks are stronger than ever....

"Take a chance" is Laine's new mantra. Always the responsible one, she's decided it's time to be more aggressive -- on the job and in the bedroom. On location to shoot photos of the wildfire, she has to get close to the smoke jumpers, and being around Steve is more than her body can handle....
