The Ebony Horse

The story of The Ebony Horse is one of the lesser-known tales from the collection known as, The Arabian Nights. The story involves an ebony horse that comes into the hands of a wealthy king. The king’s adventurous son discovers that the horse can fly and, after an argument with his father, takes it out for a spin—landing in a far away kingdom where he meets and falls in love with a beautiful princess. Unfortunately, the princess’s father believes the hero is up to no good and the prince is forced to flee. Later, he returns for the princess and they escape together.As luck would have it, before he can introduce his intended bride to his father, she is kidnapped by the previous owner of the magical horse and lots of troubles await both the prince and his lovely princess before they are finally reunited to live long and happy lives
