The Ebford Foundlings

When Catherine Ebford was faced with a marriage of convenience to the odious Colonel Berrington, her first thought was to quit her guardian's care. However, Christopher Dauntry, the brother of her friend, Melissa, pleads with her to abandon this notion for the sake of their future. In an outrageous scheme, Melissa accompanies Catherine to the Colonel's house with the intention of seducing him and replacing her friend as the future Mrs. Berrington. However, the Colonel is determined to wed Catherine and, in turn, enlists the aid of his nephew, Felix.
