The Earl Rings a Belle

Beautiful Donela Colwyn returned from a school in Florence looking forward to the Season in London. Immediately after she arrived, her stepfather arranged a marriage with his old friend, Lord Wallingham. Horrified at the idea of marrying a man old enough to be her father, the delicately bred Donela ran away. In the stage coach, she met the entertainers Basil Banks and his Three Belles. As one Belle is ill, Donela agreed to be disguised as one.

No lady would attend a Music Hall entertainment -- yet Donela was performing in one at a party given by the Earl of Huntingdon! Donela is shocked by the improper advances of the proud and handsome Earl. Finding herself in a dangerous situation, she escaped from the Earl -- and her own bewildered feelings -- when she overhears a wicked plot to harm the dashing peer.
