About This Book

The small, country town of Ellepath, Iowa hasn't experienced many crimes since it was founded over a hundred and thirty years ago. Its worst string of crimes began in January of 2014. Kidnapping after kidnapping, killing after killing. The small police department had requested the help of Kathy Baker in 2014 to solve the heinous crimes. In January of 2016, two years after the ruthless killing of their children, Ellepath summons Kathy Baker once more. The once strong, thorough detective has been beaten down by life, but she jumps at the chance to leave California, a state that is riddled with bad memories and danger. They call him Wings for a reason. He only wants to send all of God's Fallen Angel's back to Heaven, Satan's worshipers back to Hell. His kilings appear to be nonstop. He's quick with his work, leaving little evidence behind. Faced with a killer that shows no remorse or reason, Kathy is able to push away her fears, anxiety, and mistrust in order to work the case. The fire that once kept the detective going has dwindled to little more than glowing embers at the bottom of the fire pit. Is it physically possible for a detective that has no faith in her own intuition any more, a detective that has no will to carry on, to stop a dangerous, calculating killer before there's no one left to save?
