The Double Death

Jonathan Blake knew he should never have gone back to Dead End, especially when almost the entire population had once tried to kill him. However, there was something in the menacing desolation of the place that drew him back. He met Laura again, and a sprinkling of the men who had shot at him before, but the treasure he went back for was now guarded by a new threat - a dragon from the East whose double trickery was enough to make a man begin to doubt himself and his eyes - and then to drive him mad.
