Ash Mawson, a green-eyed half-breed with a lethal knife, had done it again: got himself and partner Dave Hunter caught in another death trap. This time it involved the search for a stolen treasure, a figurine of the Virgin Mary crowned in gold, silver, and jewels. But that meant crossing the worst part of the Sonora Desert, the Devil's Dance Floor, where the sand gets hotter than hell.

And if the elements didn't kill them, a notorious gang of Mexican murderers and pistoleros led by the evil El Coronel would. They took no captives, only corpses. Dave was going to need his trusty rifle, Old Satan, and Ash all his potent tarantula brew to survive this fiery clash....
