Lilith Mallory grew up believing she was nothing more than a dysfunctional orphan girl living with her foster sister Cara and her promiscuous foster mother. All that changes when her home is blown to pieces by a demonic creature known as a D’Jinn. He is sent to investigate the aftermath of a strange attack at an apartment complex, which leads him to Lilith. He is normally very good at his job, but he loses his objectivity when he begins to develop feelings for her. Will he have the strength to put his personal feelings aside and do his duty?
Berith, a fellow cambion, has served as Lilith’s unknown silent protector for many years, using his powers to watch over her from the shadows. He believes that Lilith is the cambion of the prophecy, except instead of causing the world’s doom she could be the only hope to save it. He just has to keep her alive first.
