About This Book

Ben Garvey is a haunted man.
Beckett is always there, standing at Ben's shoulder, like a shadow on the wall.
Ben took on the job at the swing station to get away from things like this and leave off the tough life of a lawman by serving one of the few remaining stagecoach lines left running. With a skeleton crew, each of them damaged survivors, Ben thought himself safe in the obscurity of this isolated Texas outpost.
They get visitors of course, oddballs and freaks just passing through but only rarely something special. It arrives in the shapely form of Lillian Cord.
That's when things start happening in the station's remote life and before long Ben and his team are up against a heck of a lot of deadly competition and Ben needs every resource he can muster from a past life he would rather forget.
And still Beckett hovers, like a ghost at the feast…. And maybe that's just what he is.
