Animated filmmaker Lucy Freers feels like "a puppy in a school of barracudas" here in this tinselly town where the best plastic surgeons have unlisted numbers--even though she has the requisite mansion, kid, and philandering producer husband. Now Lucy has something her famous neighbors do not: a naked failed starlet floating dead in her swimming pool. And since she and her hubby are suddenly prime suspects in the silicone-enhanced, proud new mother's murder, Lucy is going to have to start digging seriously in the Hollywood dirt for a real killer--if she ever hopes to return her well-scripted life to some kind of normalcy.
