About This Book

The Dark Side of Luna is a story that originated ten thousand years ago when modern man was still hunting with spears and gathering whatever food nature provided. Modern man possessed something greater than what Neanderthal humans did: complex speech and the mental capacity to plan his life beyond the moment. At that same time, a group of space-faring voyagers came to Earth. They weren’t always space travelers, but were forced to advance their technology when a cataclysm befell their star system, setting up a chain reaction that foretold the end of their entire system of planets. After millennia of searching the galaxy for a suitable planet to call home without success, their craft eventually succumbed to age, piloted by a crew of humanoid beings who were now the third generation-removed from the original grew when it crashed into earth’s satellite; the time was the early eighteen hundreds, at least according the time as the local inhabitants understood it. Even the most advanced civilizations on the planet had only primitive technology, as far as they were concerned, so when they surveyed the various landmasses, they didn’t meet any resistance, only curious staring and pointing at their various craft. The aliens soon realized that the technology of the planet’s inhabitants was in its infancy such that they didn’t understand what they were seeing which explained the occasional panic that their small gravitational-propelled craft induced. They returned to the dark side of the satellite to wait for the inhabitants to mature just a little more.
Fifty years passed by and the technology on the primitive planet was advancing rapidly. A group of psychics in the United States banned together to form a cult. They claimed to be channeling information from another planet that allowed them to make technological advances far ahead of every world nation, even where they lived. Many individuals also made great strides in understanding the presence of energy that could be tapped for its free, unlimited supply. Men of wealth who continued to make money from selling electrical power and petroleum-based fuels publicly humiliated the men until their reputations were ruined, leaving them penniless and broken. Perhaps, the psychic cult was drawing their information from sources closer to home? Wherever they were getting their information, the cult’s technology gave them craft that utilized gravitational propulsion and weapons of incredible power.
In that same country, almost fifty years later, a young man witnessed many strange craft in the air, all over the United States; they didn’t frighten him, but rather, intrigued him. Once grown to manhood, his life was filled with happiness, but that was short-lived when tragedy struck in a world going mad. He moved back to the family farm, spotting many of the alien craft in the skies; it seemed that they were always headed somewhere at high speeds. Who did they belong to, though?
By 2012, unbeknownst to earth’s inhabitants, a cataclysm was rapidly approaching their planet. Could most of her people be saved? If so, who would step forward and accept the task? Even at that, where could even the most promising, brightest people be taken? Time was running out for the people of earth; perhaps, their struggles to unite were all in vain!
