The Dakini

Does the spirit world affect our day-to-day lives? A discovered manuscript turns out to be the autobiography of a woman who gradually becomes more spirit body than physical body. The manuscript tells of how a near-death experience changes her life, and through her, the fate of the world. This is the story of Dawn Bang, later to be known as Xiao Chen, and many other names. Following her return from death, Dawn learns what it is like to be a Dakini, a being that helps the dead cross over. This is an occupation perhaps shared by many other people.
