The fourth in the series (The Boudreau Family Saga); an historical fiction & theory as to why there is a secret agreement between the United States & Pakistan concerning Al Qaeda. Clovis Boudreau is a covert operative sent behind enemy lines several weeks before D-Day during WWII.
The historical facts offered are very uniquely blended while actual & fictional characters tell the story. The reason History text books can be boring is because they are incomplete. Half of all History is classified as secret and is kept from the public: A sacrilege!
Why, after more than a decade, had the United States not yet captured or killed Osama bin Laden as well as most of Al-Qaeda who have been rumored to be hiding in the remote tribal areas of Pakistan’s Northwest Frontier?
This novel proceeds by first relating the beginnings of intelligence gathering during World War II. Multiple vignettes are offered to enlighten the rest of the stories. They say knowledge of international secrets is power. You can wait decades for the declassification of secrets, or you can thoroughly research history to piece the puzzle together!
In France before D-Day, the most successful Resistance chore was whisking downed Allied pilots back to England. After the invasion, the Resistance performed military operations in conjunction with the Allied Armies.
Long before Francis Ford Coppola’s Michael Corleone said it in ‘The Godfather: Part III’, America’s isolationists were thinking, ‘Just when we thought we were out, they pulled us back in!’
If foreign policy required covert action somewhere in the world, then arms dealers would be needed; private or otherwise. Without war, arms makers, gun runners, and the like were out of business. They quickly moved to the private sector, and the Pentagon would sanction their use.
Pearl Harbor awakened Americans to the fact that the world’s problems had to be addressed; while the awakening of JFK’s assassination slowly ended their Days of Camelot (ignorance of what was really going on).
