The Courtesan's Daughter

Before Lady Sophia Dalby became a countess, she was a highly desired courtesan. Now that her daughter Caroline is of marrying age, her prospects are limited by Sophia's infamous past. To Sophia the solution is simple -- she will pay the Earl of Ashdon's gambling debt; in exchange, he will marry her daughter.
