The amazing Gil Yates is at it again - the loveable Private Investigator has taken another contingency assignment. This time he is caught up in the high-stakes art world, hired by a flamboyant director of a Los Angeles museum. The assignment: Locate and return a Monet oil painting that was switched with a fake. Yates traipses to England and Switzerland to uncover dubious art gallery owners, a master forger and exciting women, as well as his old nemesis Michael Haadad, the arms dealer. The charming detective soon discovers that one of the mysteries he must solve is who's conning whom?
