Bill Anderson should have been in the prime of his life, but a nasty divorce left him alone and lonely with nothing else to do but throw himself into his business and quite literally work himself to death. A referral sends him to Smith & Smith, a very private firm that did only one thing; match someone up with their perfect assistant. Their Girl Friday.

Stacy Aikers found herself out of college graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Masters in Business, students loans that she would be paying on until she was almost ready to retire, and not even able to step UP to the bottom rung of the corporate ladder. Ms Smith offers her an opportunity that will give her the money to clear her loans and get a boost up on the corporate ladder, but there's a catch. She'll have to sign a one year contract that she will do anything she is asked, anything at all.

Now Stacy finds herself "employed" by Bill to be his personal assistant, his Girl Friday.
