The Communion Day of Dan Wedo

August 25th is the Communion Day of Dan Wedo (Saint Louis, Louis XIV King of France) by the Voodoo calendar. It is the day that an aged and guilt-ridden Roman Catholic Priest who participated in the attempted 1946 purge by the Church of Voodoo practices in Haiti finds a cache of paintings and sculptures documenting the events of that time. The screen play is the story of the Church's attempts to secure and destroy the art work, a French art procurer's attempt to steal the works, a RC Priest (also a Voodoo Houngan or Priest) desire to release the works to the populous and the aged Priests' restless decision as to what he will do with the works: follow the edit of Mother Church or release them to the people of Haiti.
