Since we last saw him, Frank Gavin has joined a blue-chip Boston law firm as its star litigator. When young attorney Antonia Alvarez comes to him with evidence that a new wonder drug is causing birth defects in the Portugese population of Massachusetts, he's intrigued enough to become involved.
