The Changing Years

When April returned to Kinley after seven years she was soon involved with two men -- Nick Lawton whom she had always hero-worshipped and Donald Jordan who had always loved her.

Did this mean that the triangle was going to get sorted out once and for all?

When her rich great-uncle Simon sent for her to return to Kinley after an absence of several years, April found that a lot had changed during that time -- but some things hadn't changed at all. For instance, there was Uncle Simon's stepson, Nick Lawton. As a schoolgirl, April had hero-worshipped Nick, and now she found him as attractive as ever -- and it wasn't difficult to guess what Uncle Simon's hopes were for the two of them!

But there was also Donald Jordan, who in his turn had always loved April and whose feelings, it seemed, hadn't changed either. It didn't take long for April to realise that Nick just wasn't going to take her seriously -- certainly not as long as Fenella Graves was around. So should she settle for Donald, or continue to be a not very happy member of an eternal triangle?
