The Captain's Lady

Gerard Schuyler returns from England to New York for his grandfather's funeral where he's blown away at seeing the beautiful Victoria Slade. As if that's not enough he learns that the young woman published her own newspaper in 1891! And her relationship with the Captain, as Gerard's grandfather is called, is notorious throughout New York.
