When his sister-in-law called to ask him to look after his nieces while she and his brother took a well-deserved vacation, attorney Jesse Daniels just couldn't say no. Besides, in this quiet, woodsy suburb of Seattle, what could possibly go wrong?

The first rumblings of trouble came when four hundred cases of candy were delivered to the Daniels' house. His two nieces belonged to a club called the Trailblazers -- and now Jesse had to take on another role: the Candy Dad.

Luckily, Rennie Sawyer came to his rescue. Troop leader and mother of one, she had the Trailblazers' routine down pat. But as they separated chocolate bars from nut clusters, Jesse suddenly found it hard to focus on candy. A down-to-earth suburban mom was hardly his type, but Jesse couldn't deny the sweet fantasies Rennie inspired. She was rapidly blazing a trail -- right to his heart.
