The Brookfield Daughter

Ignoring the string of No Trespassing signs, Patrick (Jax) Jackson hops the barbwire fence to fish a farm pond located oddly enough on top of a large mound in the middle of a pasture. He has no idea there is a Mejan spaceship residing under it, or that a cross-breed has been observing his every move from a secret room at the nearby farmhouse. That three-quarters human has already hacked into a number of supposedly secure databases-from the local police department to the IRS-to learn more about Jax Jackson than he knows himself. It turns out the clueless intruder is potentially an excellent mate for her daughter, Suzy Brookfield. Will the rich, handsome Jax fall for the pretty, big-eyed Suzy? Can he handle the truth that she is part Mejan, a highly-intelligent race that arrived on Earth seventy years ago from a parallel dimension? How about when he learns the Brookfields are connected to a covert organization called The Desert, which has been in a clandestine war with the mysterious Reggs, a wolf-like, nomadic race of murderous extraterrestrials? And if that doesn't send Jax running for the exit, maybe it will when he discovers the Reggs' endgame is to eradicate most of us via a biological pandemic, eat the more tender survivors, and make slaves of the rest.
