About This Book

Estelle Brickman is a successful owner of a florist shop, but her marriage has left her feeling neglected and lonely. When her husband Roger lost his mother fifteen years ago, he found alcohol was the only way to ease his pain. He stopped going to church and slowly gave up on himself -- and his family. Estelle and the children returned to him only when he stopped drinking, and though he loves his wife, he can't seem to give her affection like he used to.

Her daughter, Justine, can't forget the pain her father's alcoholism caused, and the way it devastated her parents' marriage. Those memories are now threatening to destroy her marriage. She goes into a panic whenever Evan, her beloved husband, has so much as a sip of beer. She knows he only drinks occasionally but she just can't bring herself to start a family with him unless he gives it up completely -- so she's secretly taking birth control pills behind his back, even though his greatest desire is to become a father.

Both women want their men to change...but maybe the problems are not where they seem to be. An offer for help comes from a very unlikely place, but it will take a great deal of faith and a willingness to truly open their hearts for Estelle and Justine to save their marriages -- and themselves.
