Sir Arthur Conan created the greatest detective ever invented: Sherlock Holmes.



But no author, no matter how great, can avoid the end of his life and now Conan faces such with his wife at his side. Preparing to die, he is shocked when his death is interrupted by none other than Professor Challenger, who proclaims their friendship will not end there.



Professor Challenger sweeps Conan from his death bed to a parallel universe where all authors and their creations live at the same time.



Conan is no longer a dying man, but a man in his early twenties at the peak of his health.



Soon, he meets the detective he invented, Sherlock Holmes, and he, Professor Challenger and Doctor Watson are involved in one of the most bizarre and frightening cases of their lives, invented or otherwise.



A monster has been unleashed on Victorian London.



A diabolical fiend who can assume the body of anyone he desires and once he does so, the original body is destroyed forever.



Will the Brotherhood of Baker Street be able to stop the fiend before more innocents die, or will they themselves become victims of this horrid monster?
