There’s a beach at the end of time. Most of the suns around the beach are dead and white dwarves litter the sky. The sun that warms the beach was one of the last suns to form in the universe. The beach is more than five hundred miles long and people come from all over time to get to that beach. There are a number of entry and exit points but one thing is a given, to enter the beach you must know magic.
Duncan McNeill is at his house on Loch Sligachan on the Isle of Skye in Scotland when he receives a message from the Lady Clarissa. McNeill prepares a gateway spell and seconds later he is standing on the Beach at the End of Time. Here time is almost over and the Universe is ready to fold back in on itself but on the beach an azure sun glints in the sky. The air is warm and although the ocean is devoid of life it is a beautiful blue color. The Lay Clarissa is standing by the water looking out to sea and it is obvious from her demeanor that she is troubled. As Duncan McNeill walks over to talk to her he is totally unaware that before the day is out he and the Lady Clarissa will be in extreme danger.
