When she was just eighteen, Julia Lee found her true love. The very idea of committing to forever at such a young age frightened her so badly that she did the only logical thing she could think of: she ran away.

Shortly before Julia graduated from college, she realized she was ready for the forever that Sam had promised. But she was too late; due to circumstances out of her control, Sam married another. So Julia moved half way across the country, to try to heal her broken heart.

Five years later, Julia made a career move that resulted in her moving back into town, and back into Sam’s life. He was divorced, but this time, Julia was involved in a relationship, her first serious one since Sam, and she was too afraid to give it up for what she’d once lost. Each time their paths crossed, it became harder and harder for Sam and Julia to resist their feelings: a love so intense, it virtually took Julia’s breath away any time she was near Sam.

Just as they finally bowed to destiny and would seemingly live their lives happily ever after, an unforeseen event, spurred by Julia’s ex-boyfriend, threatens to tear them apart again, possibly forever. Can Julia find her way out of danger, and back to the only man she's ever loved, the one she'd already nearly lost too many times?
