The murder of an agent of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in Burma marks the beginning of a deadly trail that leads back to the United States. The police and the FBI are outnumbered at every turn as the drug dealers flood the country with the most addictive illegal substance.

In a crackdown against drugs, the President wants the flow of heroin stopped at its source. The man assigned to spearhead the mission is Nile Barrabas, ex-Special Forces colonel and mercenary extraordinaire. But he's up against more than just crime lords in their jungle strongholds: Chinese revolutionaries are muscling in on the drug trade, and he's haunted by a specter from Vietnam.
