About This Book

All towns have legends, and all legends have a basis in truth, a fact that Robert and Emily Nicholas were soon to discover when they arrived in Ashton to investigate the disappearance of Emily's grandfather. The look of suspicion and fear they received from the townspeople became immediately evident.

In addition, from the first day Emily arrived at her grandfather's house, she began to sense a presence there, and evil presence that hinted of something unspeakably horrible, and she began to suspect that her grandfather had fallen to foul play. The details surrounding these odd events were finally revealed to her after an innocent visit to the town's museum, where she discovered that her grandfather's house used to belong to a woman suspected of being a murderess witch who dabbled in black magic.

After futher investigation, and a ritualistic type murder on the property, a murder that the town tried to blame on her, Emily began to realize that Ashton was not all that it seemed. The town still believed in this legend of the witch, and now they were looking at her as if she were connected to the legend somehow.

It's hard to know just who to trust when everyone you meet is a stranger, but Emily stood determined to discover the truth of what really happened there, and learn why the people of Ashton were so afraid of her. That drive to find the truth would lead her into a nightmarish
situation from which there was no escape, and the discovery of an on-going battle between good and evil that had already been raging in Ashton for over a hundred years.
