Two years after leaving for Germany, Cerviel has managed to locate his brother, Theo. Theo's pyromaniacal tendencies, however, have landed both of them in the crosshairs of a pair of infamous bounty hunters. Sam must travel overseas to help them escape, and bring his friend home alive. Meanwhile in Oregon, Holly is struggling to keep the FBI agent who has arrived in Wentoga County off of Cerviel's trail, and Amber Lopez has her own secret to keep as the FBI descends on her home life. Their paths will converge as each must deal with the fallout of the Kelt Experiment and its unforeseen modern-day consequences.
