About This Book

What if the animals really could talk? Would you like to quiz the camels who carried the Magi on their long trek? Might the camels tell us more about those mysterious, wandering kings? Or, if we could sit down and chat with a mouse who lived in the stable where Jesus was born, what would we want to ask? Many animals visited the stable where Jesus was born--some made only a short visit, but other animals made their permanent home behind the inn. This book tells the story of Jesus's birth as seen through many different pairs of eyes. The author is a former family physician who zips around in a power wheelchair. He is "disabled" due to muscular dystrophy but enabled by the grace of God to play with words for the enjoyment of kids of all ages. Dr. Smith has been writing fiction and nonfiction for the past ten years. He has published several devotionals that accompany reading the entire Bible, the New Testament, or the Psalms, and is currently writing about the Proverbs of Solomon. Another collection of children's fantasy stories is in the works.
