The Algorithm

At the pinnacle of his law career, Christian Jarvik is on the brink of a major technology deal that promises wealth and security for his family. During a reunion with an old friend, he receives a fortune-telling from an Artificially Intelligent app. He dismisses the reading as a gimmick, but when the app foretells details of his business deal he is suddenly haunted by the darkening significance of its prophecies. Is his friend manipulating the readings? Can the app really know his most deeply held secrets? He attempts to regain control of his future, but his actions cause the very events he struggles to avoid. He descends into a paranoid obsession. Only Jarvik suspects the secret behind his persecution. But will pursuing the truth risk the destruction of everything he knows and loves?
