When Mae brought her new puppy, Charlie, home he was unsure about his new surroundings, where his bed was, and who would feed him. He wondered about lots of things. In A Puppy Comes Home, Mae realizes that she will always take care of Charlie just like her parents take care of her. Loving and caring for each other brings happiness and contentment. After a wonderful first day together, Mae dreams of the many adventures she and Charlie will have.
It is our hope that this book begins a conversation about Type 1 Diabetes, shows what a confident, capable and brave little girl Mae is, and that it brings joy to children who dream of having a puppy of their own.
