The Abject

Herminio is a hated man. He is a Salvadoran man who suddenly turns into a social monster. The question is, what turned him into a despicable being. His friend Olinda is the only one who defends his conduct. Here is what she thinks of him: Hermi changed a lot. It didn't all happen suddenly. Days and months went by, and he didn't recover... He got worse. At the end of that year, after his tremendous disappointment, he became a whole social monster, the one whom no one could endured, whom no one wanted to even look at, whom no one appreciated, except me. I have been enduring his bad personality for 2 years now, and in no way am I going to oppose him as everyone else has. He is no longer receptive to me. He no longer wants me as a friend. But I don't give up. I will never turn against him no matter how much he hates me. I understand what has happened to him, and in no way do I want to be part of his downfall.
