After suffering the loss of his wife and child in the mountains of Georgia, Boone Crocker and his dog Snarly have fallen into a vagabond existence. When their wandering ways take them into the Texas Hill Country, Boone and Snarly happen upon a weeping woman. It is a fateful encounter that sets off a chain of bloody events that will pit Boone and Snarly against the power-hungry Locke brothers, a quartet of ruthless, murdering lowlifes.
